Notas - Spanish architect. He was General Director of Devastated Regions.He studied his baccalaureate in his hometown and he completed his secondary education in La Laguna, in the Canary Islands High School which later allowed him to go to Barcelona and join the Higher Technical School of Architecture.In 1915 and after passing his final project and obtaining his degree, he eventually settled in La Palma and then moved to Santa Cruz de Tenerife to take up the position of municipal architect. At that moment Pelayo López began his regionalist tendency whose greatest exponent was the Canary Islands pavilion for the Ibero-American Exposition in Seville in 1929.After the Spanish Civil War and after the creation of the General Directorate of Devastated Regions, he moved to Madrid in order to direct the institution that was in charge of rebuilding the country after the war.He was a member of the Real Sociedad Económica de Amigos del País de Tenerife (Royal Economic Society of Friends of the Country of Tenerife).
