HEITMAN SOURCE: "American Biographical Library" Aaron Levering, (1739-94), served as captain in the Flying Camp and was promoted major, 1776. He was honorably [p.179] discharged with the rank of lieutenant colonel. He was born in Roxboro, Pa.; died in Baltimore, Md [Source] The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution page 179 Aaron's brother, Enoch Levering, married Mary Righter, the sister of Aaron's wife Hannah.
